I was a professional modern dancer, performing nationally and internationally, most notably with Repertory Dance Theatre and Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, both located in Salt Lake City, Utah; Sharir Dance Company in Austin, Texas; and the Jacob’s Pillow’s Men Dancers: The Ted Shawn Legacy (an international touring project commemorating the 100th anniversary of Ted Shawn’s birth). I taught dance at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota for 27 years. Alongside dance, I developed an interest in photography and video art, often incorporating my creations in these media into live concert dance performances.

My wife, Janice Roberts, and I now live in Tubac, Arizona, where I love photographing all the interesting landscapes and colorful flora we encounter on our many walks and travels

My photography was recently exhibited in Joan of Arts Gallery and is currently on exhibit at Zimmerman Gallery, both located in Tubac, AZ.
